Refresher Skills Pool update (Option to upgrade to ocean)

At Scubabo Dive Victoria we recommend that you do a Refresher Course if you haven’t dived in the last 12 months to brush up your diving  skills and make sure you feel 100% comfortable underwater.

A Scuba Skills Update provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional. The Scuba Skills Update is often a required for continuing your diving training after a long period of time away from the sport. You will be issued an SSI Scuba Skills Update recognition card.

EQUIPMENT

All scuba diving equipment is
supplied, EXCEPT Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Gloves, Boots SMB and Reel.

You can purchase equipment online through our EXTRAS tab during the booking process or in store on day 1 of your course.

Purchasing equipment through Scubabo guarantees 2 things:

1. It will be professionally fitted by our experienced Dive Crew
2. You will have a face-to-face store experience for any warranty or return issues 

DIVE MEDICAL

A dive medical may be required if you fall into one or more of the following categories:

• Those with an at risk medical condition; or are over 45 years of age; or have a body mass index (BMI) over 30 AND a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and 
  88cm for females.

If you fall into one or more of these categories you may need to consult your GP for further clearances. We will send you a confirmation email with a Medical waiver attached - be sure to read through this prior to your course and follow the guidelines for medical reviews by a professional.

SESSION OUTLINE

Session includes pool skills.  The option to upgrade is available through the EXTRAS tab to an ocean dive after you have completed the pool session
