Temperate water diving brings you unique diving experiences and diverse marine ecosystems. Make sure you are able to comfortably enjoy colder temperatures with the right equipment. 


Course Description: 


Different exposure systems require different skills and with the Dry Suit Diving Course you will learn the special requirements for dry suit diving, how to use your new equipment, the benefits of a dry suit, and how to deal with emergency situations that are unique to dry suit diving. You will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification after completing this program. 

NOTE:  You must own your own dry suit to start this course

Prerequisites

  • At least 10 years of age
  • Open Water Diver certification or higher


Dive Medical

A dive medical is only required if you fall into one or more of the following categories:

Those with an at risk medical condition; or are over 45 years of age; or have a body mass index (BMI) over 30 AND a waist circumference greater than 102cm for males and 88cm for females.

If you fall into one or more of these categories you will need to obtain a diving medical (AS4005.1) The cost is roughly $100AUD and takes about 45 minutes to complete with a registered diving doctor.

Course Schedule:

The dry suit course is a 1 day course that consists of a pool session, shore dive and a boat dive.
