What's included

Mandatory personal gear: Mask, snorkel, fins, gloves and boots are on you, same as our other courses.

Most divers also pick up a few personal items around this course that carry over to every future dive: wetsuits, boots, hoods, computers, torches and compasses are the popular ones. Buy what you need through the Extras tab during booking, or in person on Day 1 — buying through us means it's professionally fitted by our Dive Crew, and you've got a face-to-face contact for any warranty or return issues.

How the course runs

6 hours (approx.), an academic and pool sessions to complete the training.

This course needs a minimum of 4 students to commence.

Who can do this course

• Minimum age 10 (a parent's or guardian's consent is required for participants under 18 years old, consistent with our other courses)

• Must already hold an Open Water Diver certification or higher

A dive medical check may be required if you:

• Struggle to perform moderate exercise — for example, walk 1.6km (one mile) in 14 minutes, or swim 200m without resting — or have been unable to take part in normal physical activity due to fitness or health reasons within the past 12 months, or

• Have had surgery within the last 12 months, or have ongoing problems related to past surgery, or

• Are taking prescription medications (except birth control, or anti-malarial drugs other than mefloquine/Lariam)
